Our Story | Hearts Landing Bed & Breakfast

Our Story

A journey of passion, hospitality, and creating a home away from home in the heart of the countryside.

Begin the Journey

A Warm Welcome

"Hearts Landing wasn't built as a business; it was born from a dream—to create a sanctuary where time slows down, connections deepen, and memories are woven into the very fabric of the walls. For over two decades, we've opened our doors not just to guests, but to kindred spirits seeking solace, celebration, and the simple joy of a perfectly brewed cup of tea on a sun-dappled porch."

— The Hearts Landing Family

The Dream Takes Root

In the spring of 1998, Sarah and Michael Bennett first laid eyes on the weathered, yet proud, Victorian house at the end of Maple Lane. Neglected but full of potential, it whispered of cozy fires, laughter-filled dinners, and peaceful mornings. Both having left fast-paced corporate careers, they saw not a renovation project, but a calling.

With their own hands, they spent eighteen months restoring original hardwood floors, rebuilding the wraparound porch, and nurturing the neglected garden back to life. Every choice was made with intention—from the locally sourced timber to the handpicked antique furnishings—infusing the space with soul and history.

On a crisp October morning in 1999, they welcomed their first guests: a retired couple celebrating their 50th anniversary. The sound of contented sighs and the smell of Sarah's famous cinnamon rolls baking that morning confirmed it—they had built not just a B&B, but a haven.
